Lin Great Wall Reviews
This is my favorite Ethiopian cuisine. The food perfect. The service perfect. They never take to long. The price is respectable. And did I mention is GOOD AF! If I could go to this place once a week I would. They give you a nice family restaurant type of vibe and I'm here for it!
When we walked in we thought we'd gone to the wrong place. It's a tiny spot with three (3) small round tables and six (6) chairs. Much of the establishment is taken up with dried lentils and other Ethiopian food staples. I asked the guy behind the counter if he really served meals. He enthusiastically said yes! And we ate there. While people came in & out getting takeout or buying a sack of mystery legumes. So ambience was awful, but food was good! We ordered the vegetable combo with lamb and really enjoyed it. We took our leftovers home and got another meal out of it. Bonus - now I know where I can buy injera in DFW.
This place is an absolute must go if you enjoy quality food and spices, delicious. Skip the next paragraph as to not here my one tiny complaint and hear what's actually important. understand that this place is attempting to change its name to "Koba Ethiopian Restaurant" (which it says on a window, but the actual store is called "Agoza Gebya" and is how you'd find it if using Google, clearly different from the name here on Yelp. I say all this to say that was going to be the reason I have this place 4 stars, BECAUSE NOTHING THAT GOOD SHOULD BE THAT HARD TO FIND. When I tell you that I had the most flavorful meal I've had since being in Dallas for a week, I mean it whole heartedly. I ordered the "Lamb Tibse" to get something out of the norm and wasn't disappointed. The spices and aromatics used in cooking the lamb permeated through the meat, complimenting the otherwise gamey flavor lamb is known to have. And the spice wasn't for the sake of being spicy, all flavors were palatable and stood out. The sautéed meat and vegetable came wrapped in a pancake like item called injera, which kept the steam in, the major plus was that a sprig of Rosemary was thrown In to the pouch making for a wonderful smell and flavor once I got it. The waitress was incredibly nice as well! What was also pretty cool is that despite the size of the location, a half of the wall is dedicated to selling ethnic food products and accessories. I would hope thar with more revenue, they can paint/decor the walls and perhaps play some music to fully immerse the customer into their lifestyle. They are very far along the way as is.
Hidden gem in Dallas. Just a couple of seats but you would be great for take out. Absolutely fabulous!!!!

Me and my wife used to treat ourselves to Ethiopian food all the time when we still lived in California. since we moved to Dallas in 2022, we've missed out on how wonderful it is, until today! We thought to look for a spot on a whim since we had a few hours to burn while in the city. We happened upon Agoza Kitchen (or Koba Ethiopian Kitchen) and had a fantastic experience. Everything was delicious. I strongly recommend the vegetarian combination as well as the lamb and chicken. The service and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back even though it's quite out of the way from Royse City.
